Put points to Vitality if you just want to get better HP. Vitality is much more suitable for Shield wielders.
Similar to Dexterity, Vitality doesn't affect skill damages. Invest your attribute points to other useful attributes. It's much better to increase dodge or critical chances through weapon/armor stats, enchants or with socketables instead. It doesn't increase any skill damages! If you did, your attack damage output will become too low. This is the reason why any character shouldn't go beyond 100~120 Dexterity, Conveys ? (any Elemental) Damage over ? seconds. +? Physical Damage (Yeah it's true! Examples: Shattering Glaive or Wolfpack) ? (any Elemental) Damage over ? seconds. Conveys ? Physical Damage over ? seconds. Inflicts ?% of Weapon DPS as (any Elemental) Damage.
